what tps with microtech for a IDA setup?
does microtech have a D shaped tps similar to haltech's ... or do i just buy a haltech and wire it up to the microtech? and also an aftermarket pressure sensor?
thanks in advance |
The microtech will work with any 0-5v TPS. The MAP sensor is built into the unit.

GREAT thanks i didnt know that about the map sensor.... thanks again ill look into the haltech D style tps and see if it works on that voltage

No problem. And as far as I know, that Haltech is a standard GM style sensor (0-5v). These things are real common in junkyards. Back when I was running a Megasquirt I had 3 different GM TPS's that I got from a junkyard, all different styles.

think i found one but the only place i can find it from is tweak-it.net... oh well ill have to order it along with my TB and manifolds

yeah the GM one works great. I recently got a spare one from the dealer just to have. I just said I had a LT1 Camaro...they had it in stock, it was around $60.

I just recently had the motor out of the car on an engine dyno. I made 239 hp at 8000 and 166 torq at ~6000 I've been meaning to post my dyno sheet...I think I'll start a new thread though. |
There's a ton of us with IDA (or similar setups). You can find some TPS's on ebay for dirt cheap, rather than spending an armload on some of the others, that's where I got mine.
