sounds like a bad wire connection man. i'd check all your connections where the microtech taps into that lead.

2nd gen?

The connectors are often very, very dead by this point. Replace it. A standard injector connector fits if you file the bump off of the sensor.

ok on that note witch temp sensor do i use for the microtech cause myn has one in the block as well at the one on the water spout like you say iam use both with brand new plugs but i still keep getting the same thing on the lap top

use the one on the back of the water pump housing.

did you say you only ran one wire for the water temp sensor?
how about the ground?

rito will do and yeah the one on the block is just a bullet terminal thats it and uses the engine as the ground ill unwire the dash and just try the microtech hooked up to the one on the water pump housing

The only coolant sensor you can use with the stock Microtech configuration is the ECT on the back of the water pump housing.

lol yer so i found out today lol didnt reali think bout it also on the note about the temp and coolent the buzzer for low water will the be efected by usen the microtech or is it on a diffrent loom to the ecu harness i take out ???

rx72c May 17, 2008 06:52 PM

different loom.

The low water level sensor is on the top of the rad. It's part of the front harness.

The ECT on the water pump housing is on the emissions harness.

The water temp sensor (for the gauge) is on the rear iron, also in the emissions harness.
