US Microtech Availability

I just spoke with Marco at MVA Motorsports concerning US availability of Microtech Products. They have in stock the LTX-8 and LTX-12. According to MVA the US Spec product differs from the Austraillian product in the following ways:

1. Comes with 3 Bar sensor
2. Larger Injector Drivers
3. Equipped with Datalogging Capability
4. Comes with all sensors

I was told these differences add to the price of the unit..

:( LTX-8 1500.00, LTX-12 1800.00

Now these are the features I had on a conversation with MVA today, based on this it removes the price factor when deciding between Haltech and Microtech.

According to Marco, Map resolution at idle is not an issue any more.

Now Now I'm sorry It's all fine that Microtech wants to expand into the US Market..and It's dealers need to make money..BUT Unless those prices INCLUDE tunning or Install

It's not a very competitive price versus the E11 or the Race AEM ems..which has lots more features

The Microtech ECU's are about the size of a 40 watt AMP
Tiny little things..

Sorry Anthony but the whole good thing about the Microtech ECU's have been there performance vs price advantage over other EMS's...

At those US Retail prices you have lost your advantage....

Damm thats $2600au!!!

ok how many of you guys will actually run more that 20psi boost?? is the 3 bar map sensor required?? that will save $190us,
sensors, you dont need them they use the factory sensors and work extremly well at doing this,
standard they can data log with the laptop plugged in, im guessing the extra datalogging is around the $175us mark as well,

as for the larger injector drivers this sounds like a bit of a wank to try and justify the extra cost, i am running 8 injectors off a LT8 and not having a problem at all, can run up to 16 off them no problems at all.

Anthony, i dont think that most people will pay that espically when they can get them easily from AUS for less than half that, maybe $100 or so more not a problem, i think you need to get a standard computer over there for the people that want them, no 3bar, no extra sensors, no extra data logging, just a standard LT's and LTX's.

A local guy said $900 for a Microtech for my Turbo 2. I don't know what model but he said it will handle everything I need.
