TPS reads 99% at light throttle

Is this right? I have the TPS zeroed out at idle but it seems a little much to be at 99% during light throttle...

It's an S4 TII with an LT8...

You may need to re-calibrate the tps. If the adjusting screw is too far in/out( I don't remember which), it will read fast. 00 should be at the first moment of movement of the plunger and 99 at the end or there about. Lesson I learned from trial and error.

Thats what I thought. I was wondering why my gas mileage was horrible while cruising...

S4 only has a narrow range TPS, it will show 99% by 1/4 - 1/3 throttle opening, the TPS will have no effect on your fuel economy. When calibrated correctly Microtech only uses the TPS to switch between idle and load maps.

To improve fuel economy at cruise use a wide band and adjust cruise map to get best feel for power and good AFR. I run a half bridge and find best AFR is 12.5-13,on stock ports you may get away with 14.5-15.

The Microtech basically only uses the TPS to tell when the car is at idle or not. As such, you can use the stock narrow range, a simple switch, etc. If you want things more accurate for datalogging, then you can install a full range unit.
