Timing split

HI,
Can anybody give any advice or insight into what sort of split figures are used when the engine comes on boost? At the moment, from 1000- 4000 i am running a 10° split. From 4000- the split goes up to 15°. She is a S4 running S6 housings. Rest of mods are in my signature.
Many thanks.

I donīt believe that there is no one who can give me a helping hand. I just need some sort of confirmation that i am in the right direction, or should the split be set the other way round..ie.. Larger gap at low load and RPM, and bring the split closer together under load and higher RPM.

Many thanks,
John

i think the base map is 15deg up to 4000rpm then down to 10deg from there up

Cheers mate,
So do you reckon it is safe to say that the split gap should be brought closer together as rpm rises?

Run it on the dyno and play with it?
