Timing differences between FCs and FDs

Is there a timing difference between the FC and FD, such as a base timing difference. I ask because I am using a microtech LT-8X that as far as I know was supposed to be programmed for a FC on my FD (with FD ignition, crack, etc setup). I think i read somewhere on the forum that that there is a 5 degree difference between the crank reading between the FC and FD.
The question is do i need to make any adjustments to my microtech settings to compensate for this difference if there is actually one. So that I am not reading the timing incorrectly and making it too advanced or retarded and melt my motor?

Anyone?

Nobody knows???

FD only has a -20 ( 20 ATDC ) mark ( trailing )

FC has a -5 and a -20 mark

you have to set the L/T split to 15 degrees and use timing light on T1 and line that with the FD mark to be sure leading is -5

Have you ever run a FC programmed ECU on FD? Is it safe?

Anybody?
Does the FC and FD setup have different number of teeth on the crank that sensor pick up the rotation timing from?

FC and FD use the same trigger settings.

So if i get my FD with original FD crank sensor started using a FC programmed ECU i should be fine? All is well? Just proceed like normally?

unless the ecu was setup specially for fc or fd . not using the x4 .

Im almost positive but even if it was setup for the x4, as long as you use a "smart" coil that receives a 5v TTL signal it'll still work.

its an Lt8x that used run an FC, not X4 box, but internal ignitors. Any problems there?
