i just want to make it clear, are the owners of the LT8/LTX8 having problems communicating with TE's WB, right? because the linear 0-1v output from the TE's WB shows only 0,05,1v.
what about the LT12/LTX12? will its aux input be able to take the 0-5v from TE's WB, or simply just get the Bosch LSM11 O2 sensor?

The LTX12 with the wideband option will plug directly into the wideband sensor, no techedge or other external sensor controller is needed.

The problem I and other LT(X)8 owners are having is that the tech edge 1v output is not linear.

This only involves the techedge 1.5 Linear output with the Microtechs linear INPUT!

The LT-12 uses a different sensors, so the voltage readings will be different.

Its easier just to get the LT12 with wideband and skip the whole extra box.

I think i'll be ordering the TE 2.0 soon. I emailed them asking them about using microtech.. guess they've never heard of it hehe.. i was like wth they are both australian companies.

so, why get another WBO2 meter when you're going to get the car dyno tuned? once it's tuned, it's fine, not?
unless you want to tune it yourself and not having to go to the dyno. but why both?

Because some dynos do not have a wideband, and alot of dyno widebands have been abused through use of leaded gas, and lots of time being used. Also its nice to get the car "close" on the street then spend less money and time on the dyno.

I don't see anyone sayin they are tuning both. I haven't used a dyno, I tuned my car myself. You're going to spend a lot more time and go through a lot more gas getting it right on the street, and it's not as safe.


Blink, you're missin the whole point, it isn't a compatibility problem, it is purely a Techedge problem. I should have wrote the subject like that but we weren't sure what the problem was yet. Tech Edge doesn't do testing to see if it will work with different things, all they are doing is providing an output that should have been compatible with anything that uses a 1 volt O2 sensor.

i've heard that if you tune on the dyno, you can get the high boost settings tuned correctly, but not for daily driving. you'll need real road data to be able to tune. i believe that's when you need your own WB. just me .02.
