tach reading
I realize my tach is reading half the rpms being turned because I have only one trailing coil hooked up to the tach wire. What would happen if I hooked both neg's of the trailing coils to the tach? Will the coils begin firing each other or what. I have 4 individual coils.

You haven't changed anything to the tach wiring have you?
Make sure the spark trigger is set to +maz. |
No, I haven't changed any wiring. Are you saying to hook up the tach wire from the Microtech to the tach wire in the dash?

Make sure the pos spark trigger on the microtech is set to +maz. I forget what screen it is off the top of my head, but scroll through them and you should get to the right screen. I didn't touch the wiring for my tach, and just left it as it were, out of the factory. I had the same problem you had, found out that my pos spark trigger wasn't +maz, but something else. I changed it, and it works now. Give it a try. |
Yeah, but using the stock coils correct. I have 4 individual coils. I am using the stock tach and stock tach wire. Also, this is a first gen. And yes the spark trigger is set to +maz
