T2 LT8 Trouble Starting

Hello Guys,

I just recently rebuilt the motor in an S5 T2 i had picked up a few months ago and decided to use the Microtech LT8 the guy had ran and having issues getting this thing started.

I happened to get the motor to turn over and idle after cranking it over and playing with the throttle for a bit the first day and then retardly turned it off after a minute of running and couldn't start it again that night assuming it was cause of cold weather so waited to try again the next day. The following day the car is not wanting to start, i saw it was flooded so i had taken out the spark plugs, took fuse out and cranked over to fix the issue. I decided to check for spark which the lead coils work, the rear ones unsure. i checked to make sure the rear coils worked by connecting them to the lead coils and saw spark, but with the rear coils i just notice spark when i turn the car to the on position but when i crank the motor there is no spark from the rear coil pack, I am running the T2 stock base map posted by Silverrotor. Will i need to adjust the CAS or adjust the map?

I have Rewired the 12v wire from the rear coils to use same 12v wire the lead coils are using which i know are working, no luck. With it being a newly built is it due to low compression? saw one guy recommend to spray some marvel mystery oil in each intake runner which i am going to try first thing in the morning. Also i am recharging the battery since i noticed it wasn't cranking as healthy toward the end of today testing.

I have made sure i put the throttle to 0% as directed by the manual but also noticed with the pedal to the floor it only reads like 47% which doesn't sound right... but i do have the Green/Yellow light, then when cranking the yellow light flickers and the laptop displays the Cranking notification. I have kinda ran out of ideas except the deflood and then mash pedal down while cranking and the marvel mystery oil into each intake runner which i will try both tomorrow.

Mods
- Intake (some ebay looking piping)
- Stock Intercooler (Silicone Hose wasnt connected to turbo)
- Stock Primary Injectors, 700cc (i believe) RC secondary injecors
- Stock Turbo
- Medium Streetport
- Aftermarket Downpipe
- 3" piping with midepipe
- Premix
- OMP deleted
- Emissions removed

i believe that is all the information i got off top of my head, If you guys have any other ideas i should try much would be appreciated.

Thank You

The Microtech doesn't fire the trailing coils during cranking.

The TPS reading doesn't matter. As long as the TPS is zero on the Microtech with the asterisk when the pedal is at idle. The Microtech only uses the TPS to tell if the car is at idle.

Honestly, it sounds like a freshly built engine with low compression. Push start it with another vehicle then keep it running for at 10 minutes at 2K.

Is the trailing supposed to spark during the test mode?

According to the manual, yes. However the Microtech manual is not necessarily the most trustworthy source.
