Staging Question

I have a problem with my 94 FD. I have 850 / 1600 injectors with a T76 turbonetics and .81 T4 on the hot side.

When I go WOT the car pulls strong only after 2psi and 4000rpm and i will not see full boost after 5,000rpm. When i shift gears, even at 8k rpm the car dies for a few seconds and continued building boost all the way up. I assumed it was a little bit of lag, but after checking other friends car with a similar setup, the boost after shifting was right away. I thought it was the load map, but after reading a lot of threads here nothing worked until I checked the stage setup. Mine was at 3000 and 1psi with 73%. I said that's it, lets just change it to 1800rpm and -04hg and lower the load map a little between 00 and 2psi so the car wont fload.

The response was so much better, I started to see boost from 2,500rpm right away and was satisfied with the results, but i noticed that this change affected the overall performance at high boost and rpm. I tried to fix the load map, but still doesnt get the right combination like the original map. The question is, what can i do to maintain the setup after 2psi that was getting me good results and fix my problem to get better response between 00gh and 2psi? Is there any formula that i can apply to the map so that i can maintain the same milliseconds through 6psi and up after this change?

Thanks for your help

changing your staging settings would have made no difference at all to the rest of your load map. so your supposed loss of power is up top is only feeling like that cause of your extra bottom end now.

Thanks for your reply. I will start again from scratch with the original setup and make the staging changes to see what happen. Maybe there was something that i change in between that forgot to change it back. I'll let you know.:bigthumb:
