Secondaries not firing? TPS ?
I m still working on the rew into a FC swap I only have a few loose ends to clean up. Ill post pics when complete. BUT
I have a LT 8 on a Mazda 13b I recently swapped from a 13bt to a 13b REW, I have two questions. The TPS is calibrated and I do have an * . but after the car is started I still read 00% no matter how I mash the throttle but with the engine not running I can mash the throttle and go from 00% to 09 %. I have tried the s6 and the s4 TPS The car also goes lean as I rev and it appears the secondaries do not come in as I only have st and not MS. any suggestions.mind you the car ran flawless with the other engine and I have only changed a few Idle settings. and I use a hand set Thanks in advance Johny |
Sounds like you have a ground issue?
Check your grounds. Block to engine, battery to chassis. The s6 tps is adjustable from the screws, if the adjustment is out you wont get good adjustment threw the computer. try adjust it from the mounting point. What are your Revstg and Mapstg settings? |
Well I have an added # 6 or 4 that runs to the microtech and continues to the block. (Previously done)
I have also put the s4 TPS ( the same one I used on the s4 engine with basicly same results) Map stage 04" hg rev stage 3000 also Im running 4 1600 injectors so % stage is normallly 50% ( If take the staging out it will rev smooth Maybe a faulty computer? Any one else? come on TED at least flame me for doing the the REW swap |
OK I found a frayed TPS wire looks like It fixed the TPS problem.
the Inj wires ohmed out good. It may be leaning out because of the bigger turbo. Stand by |
Have you got a wideband on it? have you made adjustments to suit the bigger turbo?
|
Yes I have a wideband I think I killed the sensor. I ll get another, Im going to go through all the wiring now, so it may be a while.
It sounded like it was running one one rotor the other day not sure what was going on I did a comp test it was fine. I need to check all the inj wires |
