s5 tps set up variable?

ok been doing some research, and i see some people hook up thier TPS for the s5 as a switch or as variable.
how would i hook up a S5 t2 as a variable. i would assume if it was hooked up variable it would read from idle to WOT.
if you know how, please let me know
thanks
Rob

Why do you want to hook it up as variable?
Unless you are tuning in TPS mode it is a complete waste of time.

If it was on the other car without an x4box, then your car dosnt need it.

well i dont know how or if it ran on the other car, i was told it did, but did not witness it.
i just didnt know if it was required, cause some of the places that sell it say it is required,
thanks

its not required.

thanks!

and from my reading, you just set up the TPS on the narrow band of the TPS,
correct?

rx72c 05-12-08 04:55 PM

This is correct.
The microtech only uses it to know when your on or off the throttle and nothing in between.

laptop adapators are normally $120 with a CD. thats AUD. some people can do it cheaper. the diagram should be accurate.

i forgot to ask, i got my microtech second hand, does it require any specail sensores, or should all the factory ones work?
BTW i do not have the original oil press sensor, i have a manual gauge now, will that affect it, and all of the other sensors are the stock ones..

Use factory sensors.
oil pressure guage has nothing to do with microtech.
