S5 tps on S4 car with microtech lt8
 

I have heard that running a S5 tps instead of a S4 works better... Anyone ever tried this? Is there any benefit or should I just stick with my S4 tps?

interesting, I was thinking having a full range tps would be good for times when you may not be romping on it but still hitting boost. Sometimes I'll be driving and won't be slamming the gas pedal down however I'll get into boost. Wouldn't a full range tps be a good thing in this situation?

Not with a microtech. With any other ecu a full range tps is better.

Microtech only wants a switch type tps unless your tuning in TPS mode. Which 90% DO NOT.

Gotcha, this would be why the microtech is such a good unit for drag racing but no so much for street driving.

In a sense yes. The tps is only for pump settings. even on a haltech. Most of the tune comes directly from base map which is map vs rpm.

After reading bumpstart's post. I went and tried it. He is right.

They are infact both narrowband tps units, and id say he is right in saying they are the same. Well spotted mate.
