Running Strictly 100LL on a full standalone LT8???
I am just wondering if you can run 100 octane (low lead) with a largestreet port/fuel mods/full LT8 standalone.
Aparently the lead eats O2 sensors but with standalone is one even needed? -Ben |
with a lt8 microtech teh o2 sensor becomes redundant so you have nothing to worry about.

I ran 100 LL in my car for 2 years w/ my LT8S. The microtech is closed-looped therefore extracting the 02 sensor . I now have a wideband set-up so in order to keep the sensor in good shape I run 100 unleaded. 100LL will eat sensors quickly. G

But will the lead have a negative affect on the engine seals? -Ben |
no it wont.

Awesome. I am very exited about this. Now the other question is...
To keep the OMP or not.... i guess OMP plus premix 100:1 might cause carbon build up? -Ben |
keep the OMP if its mechanial. if its electrical. get rid of it and run premix.
