Is this Right 55%TPS
 

When i accelerate the TPS % will stick at 55 - 59 % and go no further. This cause a sudden leaning out and lost of power on the upper rpms. Is this caused by the tps sensor on the 88 TII being a narrow range ? Or is my TPS sensor screwed ?
Running a TII 88, MT8 with handset.

The Microtech only uses the TPS to tell when the car is on or off idle, unless you have set the load reference to TPS (which you should not do unless you are running something without much of a vacuum signal). Your lean out problem is something different.

But fundamentally it's not right. The TPS should read 0% at idle and then 99% or so at 1/4 throttle for the S4 with a stock TPS. If it just hangs at 55% then something is wrong with the TPS or it's adjustment. Is it calibrated as per Microtech's instructions?

Not sure about the calibration. I have the manual for the ecu and going throught it now. Would i have to calibrate the tps first than MT8 or just the MT8 only ?

calibrate the TPS as you would on a stock setup, ground your black voltmeter wire to ground and red wire from your volt/ohmmeter to the green wire while the TPS is plugged in ignition off and voltmeter in ohm mode and turn the TPS adjustment screw until your meter reads 1k ohms. slowly open the throttle and it should sweep smoothly up to ~4.6k ohms, if it doesn't go near 4k ohms then your TPS is faulty and needs to be replaced.

after you set the TPS properly then you need to adjust the microtech setting according to the microtech manual, it will describe to you how to zero out the reading in the ECU, generally the adjustment will be around 16%-27% correction and the TPS reading should read 0% off the throttle and 99% at 1/3 throttle.
