please micro tech help you guys. error check

okay so i was driving my car. beat the hell out of a vr4 and then did a burn out. now it sounds like it idles on one rotor housing but when i hit the gas it still has all the power that it did. it says that there was an error on "rpm" and on "hom" i dont know what this is but i turned the car off and back on and it hasnt read an error on anything but it still idles like crap. it sounds like there is a really bad exhaust leak now where the downpipe meets the turbo. would this be it?

Those errors indicate a problem reading the CAS. Check the wiring around the CAS, condition of the harness connector, etc.

alright well i just rewired the entire wiring harness. replaced every butt connector and all the crappy tape around everything. ill let you guys know what happens in about an hour. thanks

so yea, same thing. sounds like the timing is way off at idles or steady rpms but the rpms stay at 1000 every so often it goes from 1000 to 950 back to 1000 but the motor just sounds weird.

Hmmm...

Check your TPS settings. there should also be a idle map setting that you may need to adjust. i can't remember where it is on the hand controller but it may be off.

I dunno, just my 2 cents...

Do a compression test.

Then check your tps.

Do you have a spare CAS you can swap with?

groundfirekid04 Sep 16, 2007 06:55 PM

actually i do have a spare cas to put in. and i did a compression test. the motor only has 3,500 miles on it so i didnt think one burnout would blow the motor. compression is fine. there is a larger turbo going on it in a week so im thinking that as soon as i put that on, before i even start it im bringing it down to chriss at banzai racing. im new to the microtech so i really dont want to mess anything up
