Oil feed line with Microtech LTX8

Does any of you guys know how the oil is getting into my single turbo RX7 FD when I have the microtech, since LTX8 is not controlling the OMP.

Let me know, she's about to start up again.

the omp meters the amount of oil injected into the motor/combustion camber.. i always thought thtat the microtech did contorl the omp on the fds if you useed the plug in harness?

I think it doesnt because I have to run premix now, cars not running yet. I also dont have the plug and play harness. I have everything hardwired. Very curious how I should run a oil line to my turbo

The metering oil pump has nothing to do with lubricating the turbo. There is an oil line that will run from the front iron to the turbo, which then drains into the front cover.

The metering oil pump supplies engine oil to lubricate the apex seals. This oil is injected onto the apex seal and into the intake stream, and is then burnt as part of the combustion process. As I recall, the Microtech is capable of controlling the pump, but we're getting into FD territory here, and my knowledge in that area is slim. If you now have to run premix, it would seem that your metering oil pump is now disabled.

Ok, thanks.

But how do I get oil into my turbo and out again, from where to where do i go with my lines.

The turbo oil feed is on the top of the front plate. The return goes into the front cover...This is uneffected by the Microtech or metering oil pump. With a single turbo setup, you'll need to make your own oil lines.

thanks,

Are these the nipples fitted to the vacuum system?

Get a 86 series OMP and wire it open to 9pm and you will have it getting oil, and not have to worry about metering it. It sounds crude but it works.
