no start
 

I have finished my Microtech LT8 install. When i turn the key, I get power to everything, lights, ecu, fan, everything turns on. When I turn the key to start the engine, everything dies out. Power goes out to the ECU, fans, everything. What have I done wrong??? Any ideas?

Also, If I haven't set the TPS would this have any effect?

My bad, keep forgetting to say its in a FC.

Go to the basics. Is your battery charged up good? and make sure the positive is connected properly.You blowing any fuses? Where in NC are you from?

Thats what I thought about, it being a bad ground or something. We actually plugged the last harness plug to the stock computer and the power wouldn't cut out I am in Roanoke Rapids, probably 2-3 hours from you.

I went and looked at the set-up tonight, and noticed that there is another plug, that orignially went to the stock ecu. It has no wires that are hooked up to it, and seems to be completely useless. Like I said, when you turn the key to the ON position, everything powers up. When you turn the key to START, everything dies. Could not having a signal to either the starter or alternator cause that? I am scratching my head over this. Thanks for any help.

check to make sure the ecu has power during cranking. When i did my install, i connected my ecu to a 12v source that didnt recieve power during cranking and I couldnt figure out why the car wouldnt start. Does the car crank at all? IF not, then this is probably not the problem. I would suspect bad starter, bad connection from battery, or bad battery as culprit at that point.
