I haven't been putting his name out there but his "tuning" is the cause of my frustration. He's tuned my car three separate times and it's still detonating. He couldn't tune my boost controller either. I had to figure that out with the help of the board.

Everyone says he's the man, but then why am I having these issues? I can't figure it out. I don't want to trash anyone and that's why I haven't mentioned him once while I've been looking for help, but he hasn't been able to help me one bit.

That's surprising. When does it detonate? Any other issues? Feel free to send me or post the maps. Maybe I can take a look. This ecu isn't hard to figure out.

Thanks man. 1st and 2nd are fine. 3rd gear and up when going WOT at anything above 5,000 rpm's or so, I start to hear the little ticking noises. So I back off.

what's your base timing map and boost correction? sounds like you need to subtract more timing with boost. you build boost faster at higher gear because you have more load at lower rpm at higher gear, so try taking timing out at point in which you start hearing ticking noises.

Yeah man, I'm thinking that timing is definitely an issue. I am waiting on biting the bullet on the serial adapter and going at it myself until I hear back on this tuner...

Would like to add more tips:
- if you have hesitation when you shift gear in normal city driving, make low rpm 8mmhg-0mmhg richer.
- if you have hesitation when you floor it, add more to pump function then 0mmhg boxes.
