new MT software

Hey I was just reading crusaider9x post about his fuel setup and there was mention about new software being released.

Anyway, I was just wondering if MT was taking suggestions for improvements, additions, changes, and what not from current customers or are they making changes they feel they need to change. Anyone know? brandon? dale? bueller? bueller?

Just wondering.

Firmware updates for the ECUs or software updates for the laptops? I know my software still says "beta" on startup....

Updated laptop tuning software is due out for a release. I have no clue when that will be though. Personally I have been itchin to be able to save maps to my hard drive!

Rendering the adapter useless? That's what I'm talking about!! It'll be nice to have more then 4 maps.

Agreed.

The adaptor will never be useless. You will always have to use it & will never be able just to hook up the cable direct to the laptop.Another aftermarket ECU manufacturer has patented the idea (electromotive i think) which is why every other ECU maker has their own special cable, adaptor, dongle ETC to connect the ECU to the laptop.
The new ECU is due for release in mid November. It will have the same software as the current units but will have a new circuit board with flash software (I have no idea what the hell that is) & loads more room for further updates.
The new software will simply be an upgrade for the new ECU & will be out a month or so after the new ECU's.
& yes,we will be able to save our programs onto the hard drive!!!!

Will the LT-8 Models ever have this ability, or will we have to upgrade? Will it be possible to upgrade the current models to the newer one as it was with the MT ot the LT?

Along with the ability to save to the hard drive (which I really like), how hard would it be to have an RPM on and off option. Right now, as I understand it, it is only RPM (or vacuum) on at the designated point. That way, for example, if I wanted something on only between the ranges of 1500 and say 4500 i can do that.

Just curious.

So, will the new software be available to use LT8 owners? Will It even have the ability to coincide with us or just the "updated, newer" version?

I hope it has the ability to....I'd hate to have to get another ECU if I want the new updated software.

I just ordered the laptop adaptor and it came with the BETA software
