New Lt10's ecu

I am in need of assistance. I have a brand new lt10's ecu programed for a 1991 turbo 2 but now I've gone with a 1995 setup. Does anyone know where i may be able to trade ecu's to avoid sending back to australia. Also i was told i can use a turbo 2 front cover and have to change the oil pan from a 3rd gen to a 2nd gen.

Any suggestions or can anyone help :(:scratch::scratch::scratch::scratch:

i doubt you will find anyone who will exchange it, your other options are all correct

another reason why i don't know why bother with a REW into an FC

The REW doesn't have provisions for engine mounts in the center iron, so if you want to use the REW you'll need to use the mounts off the rear iron. That said, the FC oil pan won't work with the rear mounts of the REW engine. And the REW oil pan won't work with the FC front cover without a lot of work.

That said, the trigger on the FC and FD are the same as far as the ECU is concerned. Both are considered a 24+2. Someone with more MT experience would know better but there shouldn't be a problem with the trigger. The main difference is the ignition setup. The FC uses the toggle function for the trailing coils while the FD uses a true 3-channel, wastespark setup. It may be possible to simply use the FC coils with the FD engine. Not saying I know it will work for sure but it's a thought.

hey man,yes you will have to change the front cover and if the motor is going in a second gen you will have to tap the center steel for the motor mount(i've done it before)and make a mount for the driver side, but it will work i have the same set up in my fd and i swapped the front cover and made a oil pan and it works.you mught also want to use a metal front cover or have a tab welded on,there's 1 bolt that the fd steel has that the 2gen doesn't and with a metel gasket it's less likely to blow out....hope this helps.jordan
