Need help explaining how to make richer with this Example Map
 

This not my map, but I am going to try and make my 7 not Run so lean. Can someone show me what I should change as a first step, if for instance I start running lean at about 4000 rpm +. At this rpm and about 6-7 psi I start leaning out to 13 on my AFR gauge. Thanks for the Help. Do I need to turn off the car while I alter map?

As for richening it up
First youll get your load points tuned properly then work on rpm map.

if at 4000rpm at 6-7psi your already leaning out making adjustments to the rpm wot map will work but your better off adding fuel to the load map.


so in your load map.

add fuel to the 6 and 8 psi map and then retest.

Can you be more indepth as far as explaining how to do that. I need it "Barney Style"

If your car is leaning out at 6-7 psi


with your handset. go to the LOAD map.
In the load map scroll to the 6 and 8 psi map(one at a time) and increase the number that you see.
This will richen up those maps.
You do it small steps at a time till you reach your desired afr.

After getting your desired afr at for e.g 4000rpm if you find at 6000rpm its going lean again.

Then you go the RPM WOT map and go to 6000rpm and add a few % of fuel extra(for e.g 3%) and see if it flattens out the afr curve.

Are those the only map screens I have to change? What are these other screens for t*Inj Map and Pump Map?

pump maps are for throttle response.
t_inj is injector timing. dont play with that. you dont need to.

if your car is leaning out at 6psi which should you have to change the 12psi map?

only change what you need.

by the way i dont have a hand set. I can do all of this with my laptop right?
