Need Help With 1680cc Primary Startup

Running into a brick wall here. I'm having issues getting my Cosmo RE to start in sub 0*C temps.

Disclaimer: Yes, I'm aware the primaries are too large for a low res ECU to be accurate.

The car is a Cosmo RE swapped FC, after the car starts the first time, it has ZERO problems restarting, However, if water temp is below 0*C it won't even act like it wants to start, starter will just crank over without even trying to catch.

Microtech LT8X configured for direct fire using FD trailing coils, the car was originally tuned on e85, I'm converting it over to 91.

I've played with the cranking fuel map and have got nada, was wondering if anyone has a base map suggestion or experience with a similar setup? Basically just need the car to fire up once to drive an hour and park it for the rest of the winter.

If its just to start it once spray some starter fluid through the throttle body.

You say you have played with cranking. Have you looked at water map and maybe air map? I am a bit newbie to this myself but have been tuning my idle recently and running into similar things. I have a number of threads about rich idle made recently which might give you some ideas. I found air temp started being a factor but then my air map has been messed with a little from the base map. So assuming yours hasn't I would guess water map maybe? Add in a load of fuel at 0 degrees and see what happens. You can always take it out again. Maybe don't go too mad with the 1680's! Which incidentally is what I was running before and got convinced to change them. i go t some 875 deka injectors in the end. They are better but I would say the improvement versus the ECU limitations is probably a bit swings and round abouts in my experience. There is maybe an extra click either way on the map adjust to play with fine tune wise but I cannot actually get a consistent leaner idle due to other ecu limitations I am trying to work around.
Good luck!

Are you trying to start on e85 or 91 octane? If 91 then take out 25-30% out the idle map or add fuel in the H2O map in the zero degree area.

I just waited until the temperature came back up. I have all the fuel pulled back for 91, car still refused to even kick if water temp was reading under -3*C

Sounds like you need to adjust the Water table and cranking temperature table with a bit more fuel.
