MSD DIS-4 Question

I have an lt8s on my FD with the Bosch coils. I was trying to keep things as neat and simple as i could so i was wondering if i could use the MSD DIS-4 with my set up.

So i cant get away with using the one DIS-4.....

nope i try that route already and learned the hard way, had to take a loss on the dis-4 and end up buying 2 dis-2, 1 for leading and 1 for trailing. something about the single dis-4 not having enough time to fire the coils, something like that. The MW Pro 14R will work but is over $900. or maybe a hks twin,

For the DIS 2?

BLACK MAMBA 01-27-11 09:50 PM

dis-2

swkiller 03-28-11 07:06 PM

can the dis-2 HO be used in a daily driven car?

Trots*88TII-AE* 04-01-11 03:08 PM

Yes. If you're only getting one put it on the leading. Then if you want to upgrade further, you can put two Digital 6's on the leadings, and put the DIS-2 on the trailing, or just 2 DIS-2's.

FC3S1991, do you still have the blaster ss coils?

swkiller 04-02-11 02:52 PM

thnx aot. yea they are to expensive so for now im going to put one on the leading, and keep my TII trailing coils for the trailing. i also have the MSD 8232 laying around in the garage. ill use those on the leading wit the dis-2 box.
