Microtechand AEM wideband?
I am just wondering if its possible to wire the AEM UEGO into the microtech , so when i log everything i can log it using the readings from the AEM wideband
has anyone tried this? , is it even posible? |
only if your wideband can emulate a 0-1volt narrowband signal. would be nice if they would ditch the narrowband input and swap it for a wideband input for logging purposes, the innovate LC1 can emulate a narrowband signal but i haven't picked one up yet to see how it can works for an input for the microtech.

hhmm ....that really sucks i was looking forward to log everything using wideband , does the ltx12 only have inputs for 0-1v narrowband signal?
|
i see now on the AEM site that they have this UEGO controller , and it does have a output with 0-1volts ...anyone used that?
|
The lt10s can log wideband output(0-5v), but it has to be configured from the factory at an additional cost for that purpose.
|
yeah i jus got an e-mail back from jon @ microtech ...seems my MTX12 cant even be configured to do so
|
doh, yea i think any LT series can be converted to a 0-5 volt input but i know the LT8s is factory preset to accept a narrowband input(no idea why....). 2007 and we are still preset to using a narrowband input? come on guys.
reason being they can charge more to convert to accept things like a ign cut 2 step, 0-5volt wideband input and 3 bar maps, and now with their cut off of the whole LT8 series line i'm thinking of trying a different manufacturer to distribute for, though the microtech is still a decent EMS they nickel and dime you to death. |

haltech and PFC both have inputs for a wideband, though with the PFC you need the datalogit to utilize a wideband for logging with it but then again you need a datalogit to do any real fine tuning anyways.
neither have a 3 bar standard, i don't know of any that do but i just threw that one in there for kicks cause i was kinda urked when i found out it logs a narrowband signal vs a wideband. :) yes i know the microtch is one of the best out of the box standalones for rotary applications but still, why did they take the LT8 off the market? i'm still a bit in the dark on that one. |
i am not shure but i`ve headr rumours about lt8`s beeing prone to burn internal drivers or some crap like that ...again its just a rumour

i believe in phasing out older models but not in phasing out lesser models in the push to sell similar models with more options just to make more money.
nothing was wrong with the LT8 or E6 that either needed to be put out of production. |
lol thanks for teaching me how to spell phasing, I came to that word and just got stumped for some reason  . Anyways your right there was nothing wrong with the lt8 but common is there ever anything wrong with most of the computers out there that they phase out besides it has 100mhz differance between it and the new one they are bringing in that no one will ever notice the differance between. Your right it is a ploi to make more money but everyone does it. Guess it doesn't make it right but you can't be mad at a company that is just doing what everyone else does including it's competitors.
