Microtech and wipers/Logicon
 

Gentlemen:

I installed a microtech in my car and it is running like a champ, the original ECU computer and wiring harness was obviously replaced with the microtech one.
Now I need some advise for the following problems/Issues:
1. Wipers/Washer do not work.
2. Logicon, Heater/AC does not work either

Any help will be appreciated and will save me tons of time figuring things out!!!

Wiper harness is a little yellow plug right above the ECU on the passenger side. Its attached to the engine harness so you can seperate that from your old harness and supply power and ground to it.
When I removed my harness, everything worked but the wipers, so maybe you disconnected another plug?

Thanks, I'll check on that plug today. Do you remember how many wires on that plug? I just unplugged the main wiring harness off of the factory computer and removed them both to install the microtech. Any help with the proper wiring for the wipers (wire colors, etc.) will be appreciated!

The logicon and heater should not have been effected by the Microtech. Just make sure that nothing was unplugged during installation.

Whoever installed your unit was not thinking properly. The wiper subharness as well as factory temp gauge (and alternator signal wiring in an NA) needs to be separated from the emissions harness in order to retain the factory functions.

I did the install the microtech with a friend. The original wiring harness was spliced thinking that it was going to be a plug and play thing, but the wiper plug connects 4 wires to one of the factory ECU plugs and one wire to the passenger side firewall plug. We decided to run new wires for the temp as well as for the alt to the dash and it works fine. We just thought that there was an easier way to do this than having to splice and trace so many wires; I take nobody cares about the wipers and A/C if you install a microtech...!

Generally I just split the harness apart. Those few wires are actually on their own little harness inside the main one and are easy to isolate.
