Microtech Reconfiguring 2nd Gen to 3rd
 

Purchased an LT8 on Ebay. Supposed to be an uninstalled unit and configured for a 2nd Gen. Wiring harness, laptop adaptor, software, etc. Made the assumption it could be reconfigured for my single turbo FD...apparently wrong, at least at any reasonable price. Tim at Microtech quoted $350 AU plus shipping. Says US tuners can not perform this function. I don't mind paying a tuner but $400 ($350 +($25 x 2) shipping) to get the unit ball park seems a tad stupid.

Lack of research on my part. Guess I will resell it and do what most folks do and get a Power FC. Am I missing something here?
