Microtech Operation (LT10S)

After reading a threads on different subjects for the microtech, I've started to think that adding any additional sensors, fast acting AIT, o2 wideband etc is a wast of time!

For running the engines, they seem a super simple ECU, please correct me if I'm wrong with anything below.

How are we meant to protect our engines against knock using just a microtech 'standalone' ECU. My guess is we're not.

This is what I have gathered so far...

-Aftermarket o2 wideband doesn't affect the ECU, is only used for display and datalogging (Limited function at that too!!!)

-IAT has minimal affect on ECU, so how does this work with methanol injection?

-TPS, only used as an idle function.

So all in all, that leaves us with Vacuum and water temp inputs, is this all the microtech uses? What protection does this give us against knock? Not much!

So if for any reason we have a huge change in AFR's for what ever reason, the ECU will not respond, is this correct?

Cheers bumpstart.

So all in all I think I will just change direction and try and sell the Microtech and go with adaptronic. The future improvements they are offering have pretty much made this decision for me...and the plus side is, you only have to upgrade the firmware...not send it to them ad be charged additional money.
