microtech not reading water temp

hi, the other day i start my car and i noticed it cranks a lot before it starts. this wasn't happening so i check on my microtech lt-8 and i see that the red light is blinking so i go in my laptop and notice that it isn't reading water temp. this is bad because the car has to get completely warmed up before i can drive it, and if i drive it and let it rest for a while is a damn pain in the ass to start it again. it stars but i have to let it warmed up again. what should i check??? can anyone tell me where's the water temp sensor on my car???

thanks

Check the plug hasnt come off the water temp sensor which is located behind the water pump housing
