microtech lt0s and msd 8232 compatibility
a friend of mine told me that someone with a 20b was using the MSD 8232 coils. http://www.msdignition.com/Products/..._Ignition.aspx so i bought them and installed them with my micro-tech lt10s with x4 ignition. the car turned on and was working fine then in the middle of tuning the x4 box gave out. later i found the 20b's thread and found out he was using the
Digital-7 Plus Ignition Control boxs from msd in conjunction with the coils. can someone checkout the specs of the coil and tell me if its compatible with the lt10s x4 box? and what can i do. i really don't wanna get rid of them since im not gonna get the same amount of money back =\ |

I have an X4 with blaster SS coils, but i havent even started the car yet...
I myself am curious about this. I think I asked before, a year ago, but I dont remember the answer... |
i have a friend running those coils with no problem. they are similar spec. to the Bosch.

I had the Blaster ss coils and went thru 2 x4 boxes and 2 coils and then found out that microtech doesn't like the MSD's thats why they recommend the Bosch. I put the bosch coils on and the car works just fine. Now if you ask Gaby skern and all he uses is MSD on his set up's. So I guess it comes down 2 tunning. Oh yea I have lt-10s

im also having the same problem, car runs fine but at higher rpm the ignition curve drops, i have the x4 with the msd 8207 blaster coils, the tunner reccomended to get a msd box or switch to 4 factory leading coils,

a regular msd 6 series might not help. plus that you would have to buy 4 =\. the only way to make low resistance coils to work without burning the x4 boxes is to get the 7 series msd boxes with 4 channels. the problem is that its expensive. I just put two trailing coil packs and all problems solved.

2 trailing coils or 4 trailing coils
