Microtech LT-10c bosch coil wiring.. HELP!
 

Hey everyone new to the forum and rotors.

This is my first project car and the first time wiring up a car, i'm having trouble and getting confused on how to wire up the coils correctly.

I purchased the ecu with the x4 igniter box with the bosch coils. I understand that the negative side is wired from the igniter box with (yellow/black, orange/black etc)

but i don't understand the positive side and the wiring diagram is making me more confused.

It shows on the diagram that the positive side is ran by +12v but it also has another wire (ign on, pink) coming to coil T1. my question is does it need just the pink wire or does it need the pink and 12v? Also should that be straight 12v or?

this pink wire on the diagram also runs the fuel pump relay.

There pink wire should be the 12v that is giving power to all the coils (taps in to the tan wires for the coils), the ignitor box as well as power to the fuel pump relay. .

yeah it shows the pink wire also feeding the fuel pump relay but i was just confused as it shows a seperate 12V+ feed to the coils...
and the tach out put is that the wire that spices into the igntion on wire?

From what i recall it's all tied in. The same trigger wire is feeding the fuel pump relay, the ignition module and tapped for the positive leads for the coils.

the coils just need a switched +12v supply. it doesn't have to come directly from the ECU, the signal comes via ground. i believe mine came from the factory coil connector in the engine bay to get power.

the tach output wire should go to the tach signal wire on the factory yellow ECU plug(if its an FD)
