Anyone running a "Piggyback" microtech on their FD? Keeping the stock harness?

If ypor reffering to the plug and play adapter then yes.. It works fine..

Well I couldnt get the plug-in adpter with my deal so I wired directly into the factory harness. Lots of checking and soldering. I still have this stupid problem with my LT-8 and Home, rpm errors. Grrrrrr :wallbash:

did you calibrate the tps properly? can you provide a screen shot with the errors..........

Well I think I have found and fixed the problem...Not sure which of the two things though. I replaced a CAS that I put in a few weeks ago with another one(same part number-both check ok). The other thing was that when I first got the car 6 years ago I shimmed the CAS sensors so that they were closer to the wheel. They measured .426mm from the wheel. Well I took them out and remeasured the clerance and found out that they now are 1.1mm from the wheel (within factory spec 1-2mm). I took it out really quick since I'm at work no errors. :D we'll see.

keep us posted on if you indeed fixed the problem............

Where can I buy it???

I'm having a CAS issue also, my ecu(LT10s) microtech is not getting a constant signal, i tried shims on the sensor, i switched sensors, ohm tested the wires, i even mailed the ecu back to microtech and talked to Maria in Aus. she said the ecu was fine no problems. what the hell is going on can someone help PLEASE!!!!!!!! It's only 3 or 4 wires going to the CAS and back to the ecu. Also I do have grounds on the car

flyboy02 12-18-05 03:48 PM

by the way my car is a FD (sorry)

Although I thought I was following the wiring correctly I reversed two of the wires on the CAS the first time I hooked up my Microtech causing the same problem that you are having. You may need to reverse the wires in order to get a stronger signal. After I did that the car kicked on first try. Just a thought

Ok guys here is the update. After much driving and tuning I found out it was the claerance from the wheel that made the differance. Sorry to make this short adn sloppy (at work again). Make sure you have 1-2 mm from wheel. A closer look at what was going on... insted of clear wave signals from the sensor it was a constent high peak mess. So make sure it is with in spec. Hope this helps everyone with FD's.

Is there a diagram to wire it to an FD ECU?
