microtech + FD TPS

I'm having hard time getting ECU to read 0% throttle position.

for those that have calibrated FD TPS with microtech, did you have to rotate the TPS physically or only adjust software settings, or do both?

thanks in advance.

You'll likely have to rotate it physically a little. Get it as close to zero physically as you can, then use software to adjust until you have the *.

Also, make sure you are using the full range TPS. The FD has two, one is a narrow range.

Not that it really matters though because unless you use TPS for your PUMP settings, the Microtech only uses the TPS to tell when the engine is idle.

My question is if you get it calibrated to 0*. On idle what if it doesn't reach full range like 92% instead of 99% like it should. Will you be losing hp? I have a FD and the best range I can get is 0*-92% at WOT. I also have FD but with a Plug and play lt8.

Again, the Microtech only uses the TPS to determine when the engine is at idle. If zero, then idle. Anything but zero = no idle. Unless you are using the TPS for accel enrichment which is not a default setting.

So it's more important your TPS reads zero vs. 100%.

Fundamentally you could have a switch instead of a TPS. Microtech doesn't care.

The Microtech TPS calibration, like most of the functions of the antiquated ECU, is locked down. You can only adjust the zero point.

Ok thanks

update: turns out tps a forum member sold me was bad. Installed one from autozone, and it works fine now.
