Microtech D5....

Hi Guys,
I have a friend selling me his microtech D5 series, it is tuned by using screw. Is it good? I heard it is better than nothing, is it true? I using it on a series 5... Trying to ged rid of the AFM as well, what you guys think? should i go ahead with the conversion?

D5

Together with a brick or any other 2D analog ECU you could possibly chock both sides of the front wheel in your ser.5 and stop it from rolling away. That may be the only use to you to run fuel only without the AFM on your Mazda. Considering the price of a new LT is considerably cheaper than an engine rebuild, you sense of economy is a little off.

They were good when there were no other options avaliable, now i wouldnt even consider one, if you want the fuel only and dont want to spend a lot of money get a MT4, dont waste your time with a D5...

Alright, I do have budget constraint and this is why I'm interested with the D5, I know nothing about the D5 and I just hope it work well better than the stock ECU.

to be 100% honest i would stick with the stock ecu if it is in a 2nd gen, the D5 is adjusted by screwdrivers to adjust the amount of fuel, very rough,

how much is this person asking for the D5??

Hi Dale,
Appreciate your help, If you could come early to me. I have installed it yesterday... They charge me Aus 700 for everything after the negotiation. I have run the D5 now in my car... It is much better now comparing to the stock ECU. I'm satisfied but it may not be good comparing to the MT series. Thanks for your offer. Anyway I'm from Singapore.
