microtech 9c and x4 ignition wiring question

ok so I am having a bit of a yellow helmet moment on my wiring.
I have a 9c and x4.
I am running mazda coils. two are labeled t1 and two are labeled t2.
I understand the wiring in the harness goes to the negative side of the coil.
do I need to add positive wiring directly from the battery? or is it in the harness and I am too stupid to find it?

the more I look at the less I trust my self... lol
thanks.

Switched 12V, usually power when you turn your ignition on. One way to do it is to run a relay and use your ignition switch to turn that relay on and then run the main load wire from the relay to a buss bar that will turn on anything that needs to be ran when the ignition is in the on position. Like injectors, the coils and the ecu. Hope this helps good luck it's pretty straight forward and is all covered in the manual.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but this is kind of related. Out of curiosity (my car is wired correctly), what is the pink ignition wire needed on the trailing coil pack for? The coil already has power, and the pink ignition wire to the ECU also has power, what is the point of connecting them?

The pink wire is the IGN ON signal for the Microtech, telling the ECU that the car is powered up. A convenient place to get this signal is the trailing coil however if you have picked it up somewhere else, you don't need that connection.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure.
