Micro tech adaptor would not..

Let my car fire up. I bought the usb connector dongle to hook it up to my laptop. Program and drivers was installed. I can see it and got the com#3 working etc. Turn the switch on and can see the gauges and all the pages etc. Wanted to see how everything function and make a data log, BUT when I try to fire her up it will not fire. No matter what, it will not start hooked up to the laptop. Once I unhook it, and put the handset back on car fires right up. I have a brand new laptop with windows 7 cause I heard windows 8 has issues etc. Has anyone had this problem. I want to tune it on the dyno, but I want to data log it. Any help will appreciate. Thanks:

Is a 1985 RX7 12A bridge, over lap etc it has it. is a Microtech LT10 with the 4x box. Throttle body is an old style ACCEL/ autotronics, mounted on a racing beat intake that is ported. The injectors are located on the top of the butter flies. 62-1 turbonetics turbo with .81 ar. JDM intercoller. Fuel system is an A1000, fuel pump -10 to the front into -8 lines and -6 return. We have a pretty good street tune done with the hand set. But when I hook it up to the laptop it communicates, and we can see the gauges and make changes etc, but when I tried to fire the motor it will not let it fire. Unhook it, and hook the handset and bam she fires up right away. Yes I'm in eneterprise, AL. Got one of the best rotor Engine builder here, his name is Fernando. My tuner is Carlos but he told me he never had this issue. Thanks for any info:

Sounds like you may have a ground loop. Or a poor ground connection at the Microtech.

This is how it will only work. I can start the car, connect the dongle usb adapter, open the Microtech software plug the usb to the laptop and click conec. Wala!! I can see everything and all set ups, but it makes the motor to misfire at certain rpms. Diconnect the communication unhook the dongle and turn the car off. Try to crank with out it, car will not fire. Connect the handsent and bam car fires right up and no misfires. So that means something is wrong with the dongle adapter. It should fire with the dongle on and laptop hook up and connect. It is pointing to the dongle adapter.
