Matrix Mode
What exactly is this and how is it better than normal mode? I am asking because this mode doesn't need a TPS from what I read in my GM TPS thread. Is it harder to tune or what? From what I understand the TPS is only used to switch from idle to load maps or whatever they are called. Thanks for any input guys!

Matrix mode is the 3d operation of the fuel tables rpm vs load vs Fuel. Matrix mode has RPM maps every 500 rpm.
Normal mode is a 2D mode, with 2 seperate maps, and idle map and a load map. The TPS switches you from idle to load maps. |
Ok so Matrix Mode is better?

For a street driven car, no doubt, however, I was able to get my car running VERY nicely in normal mode. I and most people recommend getting the car driveable and getting the high load AF ratio close in normal mode, then switch to matrix mode to fine tune things. I did it this way and haven't had anyone in the car yet that could tell that I didn't have the stock ECU in the car.
