LTX12 question

Does the 12 have the ability to control boost?

rgordon1979 Jan 11, 2004 09:21 PM

No, but according to Dale they are working on that.

i remeber saabguy saying something about he was useing a simplified solonoid with his auxout on his lt8, but it wasnt very *good* from what i remeber.

I was just going to post that. In theory, you could use the AUX output to control a boost solenoid from another car (or the S5)...But it would suck. Best is a dedicated boost controller.

if you are using a LTX12 with the wide band etc, it can control boost and idle, just specify when ordering your ecu, my ecu has the boost control, idle control, 3 bar, wide band etc

wow sweet! where did you order from? Can other places add this option to it?

being a microtech dealer in AU mine came direct from them,
your ecu's that come into the USA already have the wideband logging etc on them, it will just be a matter of telling your dealer to order the boost and idle control on the spare 2 ign outputs, these get changed to pwm outputs and you have a dial you can fit to your dash for the boost control.

So how much extra is this option?

???

you will have to contact your dealer in the US, try Rolo at central florida turbo, he can advise on the cost of extra options, they wont be very much as they just have to configure the spare IGN outputs.
