LT8s + 20b

what are thoughts on running an Microtech LT8 on a 20b, firing the leading and trailing plugs together for no split? This would be on an N/A application. How many of you run no split on NA cars?

Reason I ask... is I already have one from my 13b.

It only has 4 injector drivers, but I will be only running 3 injectors... one per rotor if I go this direction.

LT8/LT10 Cant run a 20B

You need an LT12/LT16 for a 3 rotor

Explain?

The only reson I see why it can't is because of the 4 fuel and 4 ign outputs. I'm only going running 3 injectors and if I run the coils as a no-split (firing together) it should work fine. I'm going to run a 13b cover with a 13b CAS.

From the old timers at work, they say running no timing split on NA cars is ok. But on turbo applications it is not desired.

It is going to be an N/A engine.

What is the benefit of running no split (or downfall)?

Why do we see a lot of N/A cars no running split? I've always been curious.

NA cars don't have the extra cylinder pressures or heat. They can take the extra spark. NA motors can go past MBT before detonating. You can run no timing split on turbo cars at low RPM and below atmospheric conditions. but there is no real benefit from this. Well, at least none that I have found
