LT8 vs. LT8s What is the difference?

Hey guys...I'm trying to find out what the differences are between these two ecu's (on paper and real world). I can only find information on the LTs on Microtechefi.com

I assume they both need and use the same laptop adapter?

LT8 (old unit) is 16bit processor and LT8s (new unit) is a 32 bit processor.
The LTX8 (old unit) needs separate coils and the LT8s (new unit) had built in igniters.

see I was under the impression that the ltx-8 had the built in ignitors....and that's why you couldn't use the stock coils on an fc. Tho I did read you could use trailing coils with the ignitors stripped off of them.

As far as the faster processor in the lt8s vs. the lt8. What kind of difference does that make in the real world? Is it worth $200 more for the lt8s? Anything else different about the 2?

The ltx8 DOES HAVE BUILT IN IGNITORS and you can use 4 X trailing coils with the ignitors stripped off them.

I have not noticed any difference between the 16 and 32 bit processor. i dont believe its worth the extra money.

ahhh..that's what I meant. You'll need aftermarket coils not ignitors or what he said.
