Lt2s/lt8s
Hey guys I have some questions for you all.
The new model ECU's. Are they able to use the bosch coils? does the LT8s have wideband logging capability? How many injectors can the 8s and 12s run? When will american vendors have them? |
The LT8 isnt really new But yeah it can use the stock coils or the bosch coils.. They all can do Widebands now according to rx7store.net. you just have to buy the sensor for like ~$275.
the LT12 is only needed if you are gonna be running a 20B. |
He's talking about the upcoming S series of ECUs. :)
When he said LT8s, he didn't mean more than one LT8. :) |
Actually the reason I want the LT12S(X?) is because it can run 6 injectors. Which I will be running. :o:

Why 6 injectors?
|
Easier to control smaller injectors is one thing. It will cost me less money to buy 6 medium sized injectors than 4 large ones. I am already setup for 6 injectors with my IDA intake and fuel rail system. I also would think that atomization would be better with 6 separate locations where fuel is delivered rather than 4.

anyone have this info?

I do NOT need any injector bungs welded on anywhere. I have 6 injector slots already. Thats why I said "I am already setup for 6 injectors with my IDA intake and fuel rail system." No other work other than putting the injectors in the slots and putting the clips on them would be needed.

And your the one that likes to keep mazda's systems because they are there for a "reason" well the Renesis uses 6 injectors. Why not a moderate power turbo 13B? Its an idea they are using and embracing so why should I not? :p:

Im convinced you wont be totally happy until your car bursts into a flaming ball right?
|
Why would you say that? A lot of people run more fuel than I plan to. I don't mean buying like 6 1000cc injectors I am getting 3 pairs of GSL-SE injectors which will be used in the six slots I have already ad a lower cost than buying large injectors. This has nothing to do with blowing up or burning anything.

lt8s & ltx 12s
The units are already available. The Lt8s will run up to 8 low ohm injectors and up to 16 hi ohm. The Lt12s will run up to 12 low and 24 hi (low=peak hold & hi=saturated) and you can run two stages on the Lt8s and three stages on the Lt12s. The units are available in 4 bar also. You can get them in 787-793-8697. Hope I helped

what about using the Bosch coils can they be used with these units? and can they use the wideband?
|
yes the bosch coils can be used on the X series and the wideband can be used on the LT(x)12 only

so if I get the LT12S it will have the wideband capability like the LTX12 right?

Originally posted by Aaron Cake The 13BT is nothing like the Renesis. Aside from the obvious side vs. peripheral exhaust ports, the intake configuration is also completely different, and of course the Renesis is NA. It uses 6 injectors for emissions reasons. Easier to more precisely control 6 little injectors when dealing with todays stiff emissions standards. No benefit in a modded RX-7 unless you need to run 4 x 1600 cc and want to use 2 460s (or whatever) as "primary" injectors. Have a look at how the Renesis is set up and you will see that having 6 injectors will make perfect sense. Benefit-> ng. It will cost me less money to buy 6 medium sized injectors than 4 large ones. I am already setup for 6 injectors with my IDA intake and fuel rail system. |
