Lt12S??
Has anyone heard anything about Microtech releasing the LT12S? I spoke to a few people about it today, apparently it should be released in the next few weeks, they have been telling dealers mid January from what I have heard.
I don't know how much of this is true but the 'S' is apparently a 32 bit processor, the board is made by motorola, maps can be saved to a disk now. I was told about a few other options that I can't remember b/c I am not that familiar with the aftermarket ems terms. Can anyone confirm this or tell us more about what it is going to be able to do? |
I'm also very interested in this if it will come in an LTX12S trim. :D
|
all true + more nice little things with the S models :D
|
please elaborate??!!!
any idea on price?? |
The price will be $200 dearer.
It is 32 bit, surface mount boards with flash programming, motorola processors etc. The release date will hopefully be 2 weeks from now.Testing has finished & was successful. All the components are in Singapore now being manufactured. New software will have user defineable load points & m/s values, more auxilliary outputs & inputs, mapping up to 45 psi,rpm adjustment to 12000 rpm plus a few more other features. |
that sucks!!!
Can I upgrade, or will I have to sell mine, and buy the new one. I have'nt even installed mine. |
you cant upgrade due to the totally different components and processor in the new models,
dale |
what sucks?
people bought and still buy E6K's when the E11 has come out The LT non S models will still be for sale I love my LTX EMS I see no reason to upgrade as of yet all good companies introduce new and improved products..Thats Life |
Dale, Any idea when they will be released?
(this is rgordon1979 again, logged in under my brother's name somehow) Thanks! |
Any new updates?
|
im not going to give a date as they have been delayed for around 5 months now,
i will let everyone know when they are ready Dale |
Have you dealers gotten any spec sheets on it yet? I would love to look at one. :)

its not out here yet, you will probably get them there the same time we will get them here,
|
Is this an ecu only upgrade? Will there be any upgrades to the hand held or dash units?
|
For anyone that is interested, Microtechusa.com is taking orders for the LT12S. The 8 is still a few weeks out they say.
|
So what is the final verdict? What are all the new features of the LTS line? I need to order a microtech soon and wondering if it's worth the extra money. Does the LTS line use the stock ignition pieces or can it use the Bosch coils like the LTX line? etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
-Seth |
the main new feature is the 32bit processor, the software will be the same as the current range, in around 6 months a software update will be avliable that will bring all the new features with the user definable load points etc etc, this is now a flash update not a send back and reconfigure,
i will know shortly when i fit one to my car. you can have the choice of using the orignal ign or a bosch setup it is your choice. Dale |
Thanks Dale.
|
has ANY info been released yet? I want to see the specs on it. :)
|
|
Great!!!!! Price for the LT12S shows to be $1,595.00 in AUD dollars. Thats roughly $1,200.00 in US dollars. I'm in!!!
|
I've been hoping they would release this exact product, since I plan to buy one this fall!
|
i think i might be sold on this myself and this doesnt require bosch coils?
anyone? (not that i saw) |
How does the LT12S fire a 20B with only 4 ignition channels???
Does it steal 2 more channels from somewhere else? -Ted |
