lt10 map settings

hi guys im just wondering if anyone knows what the standard settings are for load screen 1000-9000 are. as my car is not starting after it just died on the road out of no where.

If the car is not starting "load settings" have nothing to do with the car turning on. Now crank and coolant map will have your biggest effect on turning on initially. But you should see what the problem is if the car was just running but shut off randomly. I would check mechanical first fuel, spark, and compression before programming anything.

Base maps are on the microtech forum as a sticky and can be used for reference.

the car is mechanically fine checked everything possible. fuel pump works. I DE flooded it, plugs are pretty much brand new. I say its a tune issue as I was playing around with the load and idle screens and that's when it died on me.

It "died on the road out of no where", but when you were playing with the settings? ;)

There are no "standard" settings, only the base map. The settings will be unique to every vehicle.

With a bit more information as to what was tweaked we might be able to point you into the right direction. But, what commonly happens with me because the Microtech software sucks so much is that I accidentally change the wrong bin after logically hitting the up arrow instead of stupid page up like the software wants. Maybe you accidentally changed the wrong bin.

im using the hand controller and I think it was in matrix mode. we changed screens 3-7 on the hand controller its the settings for 1000-9000rpm just before the load screen 8. another question should these all be set at the same settings? we changed it because we notice some settings that where at 1.48 then jumped to like 11.3. so we put all of them the same. these are the settings we put in the hand controller.

30" ... 1.52
25" ... 1.48
20" ... 1.67
15" ... 2.00
10" ... 2.67
05" ... 3.33
00" ... 3.86
2psi ... 4.29
4psi ... 4.67
6psi ... 5.00
8psi ... 5.57
10psi ... 6.19
14psi ... 6.95
16psi ... 7.76
18psi ... 8.90
20psi ... 10.00

I was reading the manual and I am talking about Screens 2 - 16: RPMLoad (Matrix Mode) we set the setting all the same on the hand controller would that be the reason why its not starting. what are the standard settings for these menu

You can't just change things arbitrarily. Do you not have any way to measure AFRs?

From that little bit of map you posted, the light load area looks like a LOT of fuel. But at what RPM was that? Everything from 1000 - 9000? If so that's really wrong.

Has this car ever run properly?

I highly suggest you find someone familiar with tuning and have them look at it.

hook it up to a laptop and scroll through all the fuelling maps, seeing if there are any severe spikes or dips in the maps. you could have inadvertantly spiked a reading to either excessively rich or nearly no fuel at all.

the only maps for cranking you should be concerned with to start the car with is the idle map and the 1k RPM map. the figures in the 2psi-20"Hg range should jive with and be rather close to the figures you posted above.

checking all the maps with the hand controller is tedious and not always easy to spot something majorly wrong.

its kinda to late now....my front rotor seals have shit itself...so its a rebuild for me

RotaryEvolution 01-03-14 01:48 PM

it was an attempt to throw salt in wounds to make sure it was emphasized, but i'm fairly sure you won't make the same mistake twice anyways.

but it can never be iterated enough that one persons tune only has a very slim chance of working well with another persons car. there's simply too many variables.
