LT-8 power wiring question

I've got my battery mounted in the boot with a 1g cable running to the starter and a smaller cable running from the starter to a fuse block in the engine bay. I was going to run the power for the ECU from the fuse block. The manual says this isn't recommended due to the possibility of voltage drop during cranking resulting in hard starting.

Has anyone done this and experienced any problems in practice?

Cheers.

With 1AWG you should be fine. Ideally you would run the wire from the boot to a distribution block under the hood and then from there go to the starter and the fuse block. And of course, all of this is after the master fuse which is located as physically close to the battery as possible. :)

i got my battery in the trunk, (dont know the wire size) to the engine bay. That cable connects to two fuses, one for the microtech and one for the rest.. Is that what you ment? i got no starting problems...
