Lt-16c & MTX-L A/F help

I've tried searching this and can find nothing. Maybe I missed it?

I'm trying to get my ECU to read a/f from the output of my innovative MXT-L guage. You can adjust all kind of setting on the LM programmer for the gauge how can I make it so both the ECU and the gauge have the same reading? Right now with car off guage will read 21-22 and ECU reads 1.25. With car running guage will read @ idle 7.6-8.0 roughly and ECU .86-.88

Clearly the readings are different but I've tried playing with different setting on the LM Programmer and even switching between the output wires of the gauge to the ECU. No success.

This guy did it, but I can find no way of contact for the person.

Help please and thank you

Neal

I'm not really familiar with the 16 but if it is anything like previous Microtechs (no reason to believe it isn't, since Microtech hasn't changed their stuff since the early 2000s) then unless it was configured from the factory to accept that wideband, you nee to change the scaling of the wideband to whatever the Microtech accepts. This might be a narrowband input if you didn't order it with a wideband.

Yeah I think you might be right from what I am hearing. Microtech is closed till the 26th so I'm waiting to hear back from them on what they have to say. If I have to send it back to have it configured that will suck. Its a good 2-3 weeks without a ECU. and Australia is not cheap to ship too... Have had to do it before.

Believe me, I know what you mean. The best part is when they come back and tell you "The change couldn't be made because of your ECU version".

Well, I did send me ECU in to microtech. They scaled it for a innovate wideband. The ECU comes scaled for there own wideband.

Good to know.

As much as Microtech has a solid reliable product, the software is stuck in the 90s. It reminds me more and more of those "domestic" EFI systems that only work with the manufacturers product, or programmers which are sent back to the manufacturer to have the maps changed.
