looking for emissions experiences with microtech

Is there anyone here who has a streetported motor, a single cat, a microtech and passes a dyno style emissions test? If so, what brand of cat do you have and please advise on how you tuned it to pass.

Do you use denatured alcohol and if so what is your mix percentage?

If you use stock cats please say so.

alcohol burns a lot cleaner than gas.

add a few gallons, and re-tune to stoich. stock cats are much higher quality than aftermarket, but they're also old... any new cat should work. just make sure the tech pre-heats it.

I verified that my cat works last weekend using a wood stove magnetic thermometer. After warming up, the front of the cat was about 200 degrees while the end of the cat was almost 500 degrees. My problem is that I must pass a dyno test where the tester runs through the gears up and down (but no more than 55mph) for 4 minutes.

I bombed the shit out of the test, with alcohol and a single cat.

What does im240 mean? And why do you think I in a bad way?

Does this mean you passed or failed? I assume you mean that you failed. If you passed was it a dyno test and do you have a streetported motor?

the new smog test has much stricter standards, and unless your air pump is hooked up, and your tuning is dead nuts, it's gonna be REALLY hard to pass it without closed loop operation.
