thanks! i clicked on LT8 manual and "MT10" showed up is it the same thing? or a glitch or somthing

88t2romad 10-23-07 10:38 PM

you downloaded the 6.32 mb file under the software page???

TurboMazdaSpeed 11-20-07 05:10 PM

ok well i got the whole microtech installed, everything perfect. no vac or fuel leaks , go to start it up and nothing. just cranks, running too rich you think or too lean? running a walbro 255 pump with 550 primaries and 800cc secondaries and when i turn the key before crankin i can just hear the fuel pouring into the engine lol

88t2romad 11-20-07 09:46 PM

what engine was it on, and what engine did it go onto? What was it programmed for? (injector sizes)

TurboMazdaSpeed 11-20-07 10:34 PM

programmed for the injectors that i have (took them off the same car i got the microtech from) it was on a S4 with S5 internals, same ports. (stock)

TurboMazdaSpeed 11-22-07 10:26 PM

bump i need to get this thing started..

getting fuel : yes
getting spark: yes
microtech working/wired properly: yes

i smell gas after cranking, no poppin or signs of starting, engine seems to be turning over slower then usual.. recharged battery and it still wont start, i tryed de-flooding it and nothing, swapped out the spark plugs for brand new NGK-R's (made sure they are the right ones) blah blah.. ideas?

Double check how you wired your coil packs.

Do you know your way around a handset well?
it sounds like your staging is way out.

TurboMazdaSpeed 11-28-07 05:08 PM

no i dont.. a friend has one though, hes not a master tuner or anything but hes the one who got the car started with the handset (he may have accidently messed the staging up while trying to get the car started)

rx72c 11-28-07 06:45 PM

well if your mate knows how to setup staging.

put these numbers in.

Map_stg 02HG
Rev_stg 2000rpm
Opt_stg 50%

And then go to the load map and put in Load_00HG 4.76. see what happens.

TurboMazdaSpeed 11-28-07 07:38 PM

alright ill give that a shot next time i catch him off work ! thanks alot!!!

myfc3s 11-30-07 12:39 AM

Glad to know you got it to fire up. Also do you have a laptop? see where your timing is at.

TurboMazdaSpeed 12-01-07 02:02 AM

k we tryed the staging thing and nothing. not quite sure what it is, will have to take it to a certified microtech tuner. there are only 2 in town here that i know of , i may get it dynotuned depending on how much it will cost, so ill get back to ya guys later!!

rx72c 12-01-07 02:49 PM

it sounds like its running really rich and its killed the spark plugs. put another set of plugs in their.

go to the opt_mixtrm and turn it down 10%.

TurboMazdaSpeed 12-01-07 03:14 PM

hmm you may be right but i hope your not.. they are brand spankin new!!!!!!! it is running very damn rich (according to my narrowband) it just snowed alot (figures) so i wont be doing it today.

rx72c 12-01-07 07:48 PM

Yes they are new. BUt they are very easy to wreck. just simply by running them rich you can kill them.

TurboMazdaSpeed 12-21-07 01:41 AM

HAHAAHA.. well... FINALLY FINALLY found out the problem.. damn microtech ECU is fucked... internally, where the harness plugs in, brang it to forcefed perfomance , they wiggled the harness a bit while i reved it and boom revs smooth as butter.. gota send the bitch back to microtech to get it repaired now that should cost me a pretty penny.. my advice NEVER FUCKIN BUY USED MICROTECHS!!!!! even if its from your friend!

rx72c 12-21-07 06:41 AM

These things only happen when they are installed incorrectly. And it seems. MOST ARE.

TurboMazdaSpeed 12-21-07 04:25 PM

what do you mean? it was installed flawlessly... plus i never dropped the ECU or dropped anything on it, etc etc. it was installed by sombody who knows rx7s inside out. im sure my friend didnt knowingly sell it to me when it was like this, but his engine did blow before he sold it

rx72c 12-21-07 04:45 PM

Look im sorry to disappoint you but none of the rx7s i have done installations on have ever experienced any wiring/computer problems cause i know how to do an install that is going to be reliable.
Some wiring can look pretty but completely rubbish from the inside, and it means nothing if its installed by someone who knows rx7s inside out, it dosnt mean its good.

And for all you know, it could have been the previous install.
So how do you know its not the loom?
