installed a microtech lt-10 and can't get it tuned right
i have just installed a micro tech lt-10 and when i went to go dyno it, it would not tune right. we got my 89 bridgported engin to idle but it took 15 degrees of timing to do. when we put it on the dyno we could not get it tuned, we changed the timing almost a full 40 degrees but the hp would only chang 1-3, and the torque would not change at all. we had it on the dyno for 3-4 hours before we gave up for the night[SIZE=3]. does any one out there know why it is doing this? mmmmm 40 degrees... sounds like bad times.
do you have any idea why it is doing this?
maybe you dont have the fuel maps right??
15deg timing at idle is nothing for a bridge port, i run up to 20deg on a half bridge at idle take the car to someone that knows what they are doing... have you ever thought that you might be on the limit with the timing and putting more in is not going to make any more power only increase the chances of detonation?? have you got the static set correctly? |
the timing is zero'd out, isn't it?
u guys zero'd your timing with the leading mark or did u remark your pulleys?
