Innovate Wideband setup on lt10s
 

I have the lc1/lm1 innovate wideband with guage setup. I have both the analog wires hooked up. One to the gauge, and the other to the 02 sensor wire on the microtech. This is where my issues are:
-The microtech's afr does not change from 11.0 when the car is running
-The gauge is either faulty is not set right because it blinks 7.4v forever
-However when I hook up the innovate unit to my laptop the afr reads correctly

I really don't want to see 7.4 blink all day, and I would like to use the microtech software only to tune instead of having the innovate program open to just read afr. Any ideas?

Your Microtech is prob not config to read a wideband. You'll have to send it back and have it re-config.

The wire on microtech might be causing interference thru the wideband gauge, try to unplug it and see if that will fix your problem.

my innovate works pretty well with or without the the plugging up through the laptop. did you hold the sensor in the air to calibrate before screwing it into your exhaust? if not, that might be your problem there. and from what i learnt. do not put the wideband sensor too close to the turbo, it kills the sensor very fast.

I've emailed microtech about running the Innovate wideband, and this is what was said:

Simone has forwarded your e mail address to me in regards to connecting up a wideband to your LT10s.

The LT10s has a 0-5v input for AFR so it will work with most standard 0-5v afr meters such as the innovate, PLX, Tech edge, AEM etc etc

You just need to connect the 0-5v output from your meter to the black/red input wire on your microtech

I've read a few threads on this and I've yet to install my wideband so I'd interested to see if this works!

yes it does, works fine, i have it setup just like that with my NGK meter in the car.

earlier microtech's were designed to have 0-1V input but for narrow band sensors, so if you have an earlier microtech, it may not work with a 0-5V wideband.

And the calibration is fixed, so it may not read correctly even with a 0-5V wideband. Stick to whatever model the Microtech people recommend you use in order to get a correct reading.

Even with the wideband it's not like the Microtech can do anything with the AFR reading except display and (poorly) datalog it. No closed loop, engine protection, etc.

So even if we use the wideband connected to the microtech, your saying that it's not going to do anything, no changes will be made etc? The only thing we'll get is a display of the AFR...and thats only if we're using a handset...which isn't the easiest thing to see while driving. :scratch:

Correct. The AFR can only be displayed and sort-of datalogged. The ECU can't act on it in any way.
