How To wire in the windshield wipers.

Ok, it was inevitable that it would rain right after I got my EMS installed, so how do I go about wiring in the windshield wipers without the stock wiring harness or stock ECU present?

you see the main ecu plugs? The two with alot of wires to it? now about half a foot above that you see two plugs? on these plugs contain the wires that you need to run the windshield wiper motor. Look at the plug in for hte actual windshield wiper motor. i think it's like 5 blue wires? Either you can do like I did and cut them out of the factory harness.. or you could cut both clips out and run the wires as they are to the plugs. I went realy simple. I unwraped all the tape from my old harness in that section
pulled hte wires free as I could and only cut what I needed out. Plugged the harnesses back into the car and the wiper motors didn't work :( then i realized I didn't plug the wiper motor in to hehe.. and magically all was well.

AHHH!!! Sneaky mongolian trick eh??

The big yellowish/orangeish plug near the passenger side kick panel is the interior plug, which then goes through the firewall to the windsheild wiper motor, is this correct?

i believe so... i followed the wires from the wiper plug & cruise plug (just in case i put cruise back in) and just bascally pulled the wires I needed. their is a ground wire in the whole loom which I wasn't sure if it grounded the motor/cruise so I made sure i put that to a ground source as a precaution.

This is so easy it is not even funny. Might as well keep the wires for the cruise control. I did and its working. Just unwrap the stock harnes where the wipers and cruise connections are.

Wipers do not need to be reground. Cruise control only needs its 4 wire connector plugged in and thats it! You will need to trim a few wires from the center of the connector.

ah i wasn't sure about the ground so i didn't take a chance..

told ya it was easy though :)

I think I may have a handle on the AC, I am gonna give it a try this afternoon, and I will let everyone know!
